Description: WEST RUTLAND--Celebrating their 50th anniversary, the Wesley Bell Ringers will perform at St. Bridget Church on Friday June 21, at 7:30 p.m. This special concert includes sacred, classical, jazz, and a secular repertoire of music. It also includes a few of the signature pieces the choir has played over the years. The Wesley Bell Ringers are a music ministry of Christ United Methodist Church in Salt Lake City, UT. Founded in 1963 when nine enthusiastic teenagers raised enough money to purchase twenty-five hand bells, they became Utah’s first hand bell choir. Over the years over four hundred young musicians have played in the group and they have developed a reputation for musical excellence. Each Summer the choir travels across North America sharing their music. They have performed in such places as Mount Rushmore, Disney World, the Cathedral of the Pines National Memorial, the 2002 Winter Olympics and the United States Capitol. They have also made appearances with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Utah Symphony and now will perform at St. Bridget Church in West Rutland.

The first, Totus Tuus, will take place June 24–28 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at St. Michael School for children in grades one through eight. The second, Vacation Bible Camp “Kingdom Rock Where Kids Stand Strong for God,” will take place July 29-Aug. 2 from 9 a.m.-noon at St. Michael’s School for children in kindergarten through grade six. Description: On Saturday, June 29th, at 5pm Father William P. Hackett Council 7324, Knights of Columbus is having a Spaghetti & Meatball Dinner and Silent Auction Fundraiser at Church of the Annunciation’s Parish Center, in Ludlow. Cost is $10.00pp. We are trying to raise money for Heartbeet Lifesharing, a community for adults with developmental disabilities. Located in Hardwick on a 150 acre farm, Heartbeet Lifesharing is a community where everyone, regardless of ability, can find meaning, dignity and reverence for life. Long-term co-workers, adults with special needs and volunteers who come for a year of service learn, play, and work together. Community members care for and grow with each other, celebrating the myriad joys and challenges of life. In January, the community suffered a loss when one of its new homes was destroyed by a fire. The Knights of Columbus have chosen to support Heartbeet, because of the wonderful opportunities it has provided former Ludlow resident, and Springfield High School graduate Brittany Garafola. Description: BURLINGTON—“Awake, My Soul” is the theme of the 2013 Vermont Catholic Youth Conference that will take place July 6 and 7 at the University of Vermont. The event will feature spiritual leader/speaker/musician Cooper Ray and include the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, music, a priest question and answer session, Eucharistic adoration, skits, games, a coffee house and more. The fee to attend is $80. Sponsored by the Diocese of Burlington’s Office of Catholic Formation, the conference will bring together Vermont high school youth including incoming freshmen and graduating seniors for a two-day event that will engage and bring participants closer to their Catholic faith.
