BENNINGTON—From Bach to the Beatles: An Organ Recital will be presented on Sunday, Nov. 7, at 3 p.m. at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church. Donald McMahon will demonstrate the versatility of magnificent parish organ of 1,438 pipes with a recital of musical treasures both classical and popular. The program will include J.S. Bach's celebrated Toccata and Fugue in d minor, newly discovered masterpieces by Canadian composer Denis Bedard and music by Paul and Linda McCartney.


BENNINGTON—Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales School's harvest bazaar will take place on Saturday, Oct. 23, from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. There will be an Italian pasta dinner at 5 p.m. at the Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Parish Center, 238 W. Main St. For more information call 442-2446 or e-mail

St. Charles Parish to celebrate125th anniversary

BELLOWS FALLS—St. Charles Parish will celebrate its 125th anniversary with a Mass on Sunday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. at St. Charles Church. Bishop Salvatore R. Matano, Bishop of Burlington, will celebrate the Mass with former pastors and associates and priests of the Diocese of Burlington. There will be a representation from the Sisters of St. Joseph who staffed the former St. Charles School. A reception will follow.
