Sunday brunch at St. Mary Parish

FRANKLIN—On Sunday, Aug. 19, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. there will be a Sunday brunch at St. Mary Parish Hall. The menu will include eggs, bacon, ham, pancakes, sausage, home fries, beverage and desserts. Adults $8, children under 12 $4, under 4 free.

Blue Army meeting open to all

SHELBURNE—The World Apostolate of Fatima (‘‘Blue Army’’), a Vatican-approved public association of the faithful, will meet Sept. 11 at 6:15 p.m. at St. Catherine of Sienna Church All are welcome. Call Clairette (878-3214) or Jerry (482-2057) for information and carpool help.

PLAY DATE—Children enjoy play time as almost 40 students attended a PTO-sponsored summer ‘‘Play Date’’ in July at Christ the King School in Burlington. The PTO sponsors two such events during the summer to give students and families a chance to reconnect and allow new students and their families to meet friends and build relationships before the beginning of the school year. St. Anne's Shrine to host roast pork dinner

ISLE LAMOTTE—There will be a roast pork dinner in Saturday, Aug. 18, in the St. Anne’s Shrine Café from 4-6:30 p.m.

Mass with madrigal music at St. Anne’s Shrine

ISLE LA MOTTE—A madrigal choir from Canada will provide music at the 10:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, Aug. 26, at St. Anne's Shrine.

Christ the King Golf Tournament

ST. GEORGE—The 12th annual Christ the King School Charity Golf Tournament will take place Friday, Sept. 14, at Rocky Ridge Golf Club. Registration opens at 11:30 a.m. All money raised directly supports the needs, programs and mission of Christ the King School in Burlington. St. Thomas Church holds yard, rummage sale

UNDERHILL CENTER—St. Thomas Church will present its annual yard and rummage sale on Friday, Aug. 17, Saturday, Aug. 18, and Sunday, Aug. 19, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. each day. The yard sale will feature housewares, dishes, toys and miscellaneous items. The rummage sale will feature fall and winter clothing for children and adults. In addition, there will be a food concession stand that will feature hot dogs, hamburgers, meatball subs and baked goods. The event will take place rain or shine.
